Associated Weavers was created in 1964, when the American Trend Mills Group decided to open a division in Belgium.
In 1969, Champion International took over Trend Mills and the British company Associated Weavers. Following this, Associated Weavers began producing tufted printed carpets in Ronse.
A buy-out followed in 1984 when Champion International decided to withdraw from the carpet industry.
As a result the Associated Weavers International Group was created.
Today it is one of the largest carpet manufacturers in the world.
